This piece is our homage to that classical tradition, reinterpreted through the use of Japan’s most renowned Akoya pearls, in their rare natural grey tones.

Each pearl is meticulously selected and matched by hand. As no two natural pearls are ever identical, the process requires an extraordinary level of precision — selecting pearls with minimal blemishes, exceptional luster, near-perfect roundness, and a harmonious consistency in tone.

Even more demanding is the sizing: every pearl is matched to within 0.1 mm, ensuring that once assembled, each pearl sits seamlessly beside the next, with no visible gaps.

Because of this level of craftsmanship, this design is exceptionally time-intensive. At present, we are only able to complete one pair per month.
